2020 Top Actors, Comedians, and Rappers Advocating Crypto industry

When the first cryptocurrency, bitcoin, was launched over two decades ago, there was a lot of skepticism trailing it. The digital currency remained a conversation amongst nerds alone. The concept of digital currency was hard to grasp by many people, and it took a while for people to join the crypto movement.
However, the crypto industry has grown and has begun to amass advocates from every corner of the world. Celebrities are joining the crypto movement and advocating for cryptocurrencies as the best investment choice and as the future currency of the world. Many celebrities lie Snoop Dog, and also Mike Tyson first bought the idea before it became globally accepted but many other actors, comedians, and rappers now advocate for the crypto industry and below are some of them:
Zuby
Zuby is one of the newest members of the crypto sphere. He made his involvement in the crypto industry public when he went on Crypto cousins bitcoin and cryptocurrencies podcast to discuss cryptocurrencies. Since then, he has continued to tweet about bitcoin on his twitter page.
Jimmy Jefferies
If you love a good laugh, then you must have heard of Jimmy Jefferies, Jefferies podcast is popular and listened to by thousands of people globally. In a new episode on June 30th, he reveals that he is more involved in cryptocurrencies than his team is aware of. He admits that he bought one bitcoin on the Robinhood app. This means Jefferies owns more bitcoins than Elon Musk does.
Serena William
There are few on this planet who don’t know Serena Williams, but only a few are aware of how involved in cryptocurrency this celebrity is. Before the interview however, he first posted about crypto by tweeting ‘decentralize’ which signified his stand with the crypto industry. He has remained silent about his involvement with cryptocurrency since then but that doesn’t mean he’s done with crypto.

Cryptomarketing in 2020: successful application of strategies from MLM and the beauty industry

Cryptomarketing in 2020: successful application of strategies from MLM and the beauty industry

Cryptomarketing in 2020: successful application of strategies from MLM and the beauty industry
Over the past decade, the crypto-industry has proven to be a unique industry with a specific audience, which requires a no less specific approach. In this regard, in 2020, the advertising activity of crypto companies is significantly different from that to which banks and various financial companies resort. Industry leaders prefer not to rely on traditional online advertising on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. They follow a different path: they work with bloggers (opinion leaders and influencers), rely on MLM marketing referral programs and actively organize various contests and sweepstakes with generous prize pools. The CoinDesk portal claims that crypto marketing this year is strikingly reminiscent of marketing in the beauty industry, and here it is no less effective.

General concept

Michelle Fan, a blogger with a million YouTube subscribers, is using the same techniques to spread skin care life hacks and the idea of financial freedom through bitcoins. Moreover, she assures that the leaders of the crypto industry, like her, use marketing schemes from the beauty industry, even if they themselves do not know about it.
Both areas prefer to use the DTC (Direct to Customer) business scheme, independently creating and then promoting and selling goods / services, working as closely as possible with the community. Sales are built through aggregated retail platforms like Amazon, Etsy and Shopify, or even through accounts in popular social networks.
Industry leaders in developing countries often resort to the latter option, where large sites like Amazon simply don’t work or aren’t popular. For example, Michelle Haber, a bitcoin maximalist from Libya, made it clear in CoinDesk’s comment that social networks and chats are today the most effective way to distribute goods / services in crypto topics. He said that local traders in order to “educate” the audience help buy hardware wallets, selling them through groups on social networks. Buying yourself Trezor or Ledger in another way is often simply impossible.

Work with opinion leaders

Michelle Fan is not the only person from the crypto-community who notices the similarities with the beauty industry. So, Maria Paula Fernandez, who actively uses the services of the DeFi sector and is seriously interested in the topic of skin care, gave the CoinDesk portal a similar comment.
She notes that in both cases, society has become accustomed to relying on the opinion of society itself, rather than trusting the views of the world’s leading media. Therefore, in both sectors, the so-called influencers are very popular — opinion leaders and bloggers who disseminate information among their audience on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other social networks, receiving a reward for this.
Crypto-companies very often, like firms from the beauty industry, provide their products to opinion leaders for review and further “instruction” of their subscribers. Maria Paula Fernandez does not see anything shameful in this. Observing the experience of bloggers, subscribers begin to acquire a kind of crypto-education and disseminate the information through the word of mouth. Thus, the crypto-community grows.
The most successful bloggers over time can count on sponsorship from one or another crypto company.
For example, the podcaster Marty Bent, whose show is now funded by Unchained Capital and Square, the developer of Cash App, witnessed this scenario. The latter, by the way, in addition to Bent sponsor also podcast Joe Rogan and rapper Lil B.
Many other large companies, including the Kraken exchange, have resorted to this strategy. They are just as interested in sponsoring reputable content creators who promote products among loyal subscribers. The U.S. exchange sponsors the Reckless VR crypto start-up, founded by Udi Wertheimer for crypto-conferences in virtual reality, and the famous podcast Peter McCormack, who launched his own media brand Defiance last year. Having started his career as a hobby, McCormack turned it into a business of his life, thanks to which he earned about $1 million for 2019.
With all this, working with bloggers is a great opportunity to enter foreign markets. This is understood at Crypto.com, where they use opinion leaders to attract the Russian-speaking and Turkish-speaking community. Does this approach give a result? Judge for yourself: over the past six months, the number of startup users has doubled and currently stands at more than 2 million people.

Referral Bonuses and MLM Marketing

The development of products within the community often turns into MLM marketing strategies, which require the presence of referral bonuses and bonuses “in depth” — favorite schemes of cosmetic brands. They use a multi-level reward system for attracting partners, where you can usually get a bonus not only for personally invited, but also for “friends of friends and their friends”. Thus, opinion leaders who distribute crypto products often receive a portion of the funds that people invited by them will pay for the product / service.
The relevance and effectiveness of the trend is confirmed by the fact that these methods are not shy to use not only crypto start-ups, but also top cryptocurrency companies, widely known throughout the industry. A prime example is SatoshiLabs, a company that manufactures and distributes Trezor wallets. The head of communications, Iva Fizerova, confirmed that she is actively resorting to “affiliate marketing” with bloggers as an alternative to paying them for direct advertising.
No less vivid examples are the largest crypto exchanges Binance and Gemini, which managed to succeed not without the help of referral systems copied from the multi-level marketing campaigns Avon and Mary Kay, which they have been using for decades.
Instagram blogger Chjango Unchained has been earning good bonuses for several months running after posting a referral link to Gemini on her profile. When her subscribers register on the exchange and buy cryptocurrencies worth more than $100, she receives $10 in BTC. According to her, she is doing a good deed. The blogger wants people who are interested in her opinion on digital money to start their crypto path on Gemini, and not, for example, on Coinbase, because the latter charges “crazy commissions”.
Referral system bonuses are a typical phenomenon for many crypto companies, and successful bloggers are happy to use this. A prime example is Michael Gu, known by the pseudonym Boxmining. It has been distributing information about digital money since 2012, having gathered an audience of more than 200,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 3,500 participants in Telegram chat during this time.
Despite the fact that the manufacturer of hardware wallets Ledger does not sponsor its activities, it places referral links in the video descriptions and collects voluntary donations from subscribers. As you might guess, he feels rather well. At the same time, he emphasized that user activity during the coronavirus pandemic is only growing, especially after YouTube began to put sticks in the wheels of the creators of crypto-content.

Gifts, contests and sweepstakes

Making a small gift is a great way to introduce an audience to a new product. In the cryptocurrency market, this has long been relevant.
Coin creators eagerly carry out airdrops and bounty campaigns, allowing the crypto community to test the new coin. A similar approach is popular in the beauty industry. Samplers of perfumes and branded magazines with smells have led many girls to buy full-fledged versions of the fragrance.
In addition to the cryptocurrency developers themselves, a similar approach is also used by cryptocompanies of a different direction, which cannot conduct airdrops due to their technical features (for example, this is true for manufacturers of hardware wallets). Therefore, they organize more classic contests and sweepstakes. For example, they play a wallet for reposting on social networks or videos published on YouTube.
It is noteworthy that cryptobrands in this area are even more active than cosmetics manufacturers. They work not only with trusted bloggers with many subscribers, but also help to become less “untwisted” users. Therefore, they periodically assist them in organizing draws in order to attract subscribers who could potentially become new customers.
Iva Fizerova from SatoshiLabs confirmed that Trezor manufacturers periodically help users attract new followers through the distribution of gifts. Moreover, this approach brings excellent results. By working with the community this way, they have managed to sell hundreds of thousands of wallets. But most importantly, a reputation of the brand has formed around the product, warmly received by the audience. And this effect is so strong that the company simply does not see the point in spending money on traditional expensive advertising.
Most importantly, despite all the problems of 2020, including the coronavirus pandemic, which seriously hit the global economy and, accordingly, people’s wallets, demand for products did not fall. This approach remains effective, while the percentage of successful conversions in traditional advertising has probably decreased. Fizerova noted that over the past three months they have recorded a steady increase in demand for goods. Moreover, they even had to solve delivery problems, if only the buyers got the desired devices in a timely manner.
A similar approach and results are observed with other manufacturers of hardware wallets. Thus, Rodolfo Novak, co-founder of Coinkite, confirmed the growth in demand for products, despite the pandemic. Working with the community is their main marketing strategy, because it really gives results. Over the past three years, they donated about 50 wallets to YouTube reviewers. Novak is proud that their “users help other users.” According to him, this approach allows you to sell products at a lower price, since the cost of goods does not include high costs for familiar marketing campaigns.

Are marketing strategies effective? More than

The cryptocurrency market relies on marketing strategies that have established themselves in the beauty industry, which in the new field are no less effective. Maximum performance is achieved with a killer combination of all three of the above methods. It’s about when the founders of cryptocompanies themselves become opinion leaders. Just look at Changpen Zhao, the head of Binance, or Justin Sun, the project manager of TRON. Both entrepreneurs are bloggers with a huge army of subscribers and are personally engaged in the promotion of their brands, regularly rewarding their audience with pleasant gifts.
It’s easy to guess why industry leaders rely mainly on this type of marketing. Advertising products in the traditional way is expensive, especially for startups, behind which there are still no attractive products with a good reputation. But more importantly, crypto products are quite complex in themselves, so they often need detailed explanations, which are difficult to implement in the framework of traditional advertising. Agree that selling a bottle of Fanta with a new taste is much easier than a hardware cryptocurrency wallet, especially since most people don’t understand what it is.
On top of that, regular advertising is complicated by the fact that media giants regularly block crypto content.
In such a situation, marketing borrowed from the beauty industry seems to be the most acceptable and most effective option. By focusing their marketing budgets on opinion leaders and working with the community, cryptocompanies achieve the desired result, even taking into account the coronavirus pandemic. The crypto community is getting bigger and stronger every day. But the best part is that this growth cannot be stopped.

Craig Steven Wright is Satoshi Nakamoto

A couple of years ago in the early months of the 2017, I published a piece called Abundance Via Cryptocurrencies (https://www.reddit.com/C\_S\_T/comments/69d12a/abundance\_via\_cryptocurrencies/) in which I kind of foresaw the crypto boom that had bitcoin go from $1k to $21k and the alt-coin economy swell up to have more than 60% of the bitcoin market capitalisation. At the time, I spoke of coming out from “the Pit” of conspiracy research and that I was a bit suss on bitcoin’s inception story. At the time I really didn’t see the scaling solution being put forward as being satisfactory and the progress on bitcoin seemed stifled by the politics of the social consensus on an open source protocol so I was looking into alt coins that I thought could perhaps improve upon the shortcomings of bitcoin. In the thread I made someone recommended to have a look at 4chan’s business and finance board. I did end up taking a look at it just as the bull market started to really surge. I found myself in a sea of anonymous posters who threw out all kinds of info and memes about the hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of different shitcoins and why they’re all going to have lambos on the moon. I got right in to it, I loved the idea of filtering through all the shitposts and finding the nuggest of truth amongst it all and was deeply immersed in it all as the price of bitcoin surged 20x and alt coins surged 5-10 times against bitcoin themselves. This meant there were many people who chucked in a few grand and bought a stash of alt coins that they thought were gonna be the next big thing and some people ended up with “portfolios” 100-1000x times their initial investment.
To explain what it’s like to be on an anonymous business and finance board populated with incel neets, nazis, capitalist shit posters, autistic geniuses and whoever the hell else was using the board for shilling their coins during a 100x run up is impossible. It’s hilarious, dark, absurd, exciting and ultimately addictive as fuck. You have this app called blockfolio that you check every couple of minutes to see the little green percentages and the neat graphs of your value in dollars or bitcoin over day, week, month or year. Despite my years in the pit researching conspiracy, and my being suss on bitcoin in general I wasn’t anywhere near as distrustful as I should have been of an anonymous business and finance board and although I do genuinely think there are good people out there who are sharing information with one another in good faith and feel very grateful to the anons that have taken their time to write up quality content to educate people they don’t know, I wasn’t really prepared for the level of organisation and sophistication of the efforts groups would go to to deceive in this space.
Over the course of my time in there I watched my portfolio grow to ridiculous numbers relative to what I put in but I could never really bring myself to sell at the top of a pump as I always felt I had done my research on a coin and wanted to hold it for a long time so why would I sell? After some time though I would read about something new or I would find out of dodgy relationships of a coin I had and would want to exit my position and then I would rebalance my portfolio in to a coin I thought was either technologically superior or didn’t have the nefarious connections to people I had come across doing conspiracy research. Because I had been right in to the conspiracy and the decentralisation tropes I guess I always carried a bit of an antiauthoritarian/anarchist bias and despite participating in a ridiculously capitalistic market, was kind of against capitalism and looking to a blockchain protocol to support something along the lines of an open source anarchosyndicalist cryptocommune. I told myself I was investing in the tech and believed in the collective endeavour of the open source project and ultimately had faith some mysterious “they” would develop a protocol that would emancipate us from this debt slavery complex.
As I became more and more aware of how to spot artificial discussion on the chans, I began to seek out further some of the radical projects like vtorrent and skycoin and I guess became a bit carried away from being amidst such ridiculous overt shilling as on the boards so that if you look in my post history you can even see me promoting some of these coins to communities I thought might be sympathetic to their use case. I didn’t see it at the time because I always thought I was holding the coins with the best tech and wanted to ride them up as an investor who believed in them, but this kind of promotion is ultimately just part of a mentality that’s pervasive to the cryptocurrency “community” that insists because it is a decentralised project you have to in a way volunteer to inform people about the coin since the more decentralised ones without premines or DAO structures don’t have marketing budgets, or don’t have marketing teams. In the guise of cultivating a community, groups form together on social media platforms like slack, discord, telegram, twitter and ‘vote’ for different proposals, donate funds to various boards/foundations that are set up to give a “roadmap” for the coins path to greatness and organise marketing efforts on places like reddit, the chans, twitter. That’s for the more grass roots ones at least, there are many that were started as a fork of another coin, or a ICO, airdrop or all these different ways of disseminating a new cryptocurrency or raising funding for promising to develop one. Imagine the operations that can be run by a team that raised millions, hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars on their ICOs, especially if they are working in conjunction with a new niche of cryptocurrency media that’s all nepotistic and incestuous.
About a year and a half ago I published another piece called “Bitcoin is about to be dethroned” (https://www.reddit.com/C\_S\_T/comments/7ewmuu/bitcoin\_is\_about\_to\_be\_dethroned/) where I felt I had come to realise the scaling debate had been corrupted by a company called Blockstream and they had been paying for social media operations in a fashion not to dissimilar to correct the record or such to control the narrative around the scaling debate and then through deceit and manipulation curated an apparent consensus around their narrative and hijacked the bitcoin name and ticker (BTC). I read the post again just before posting this and decided to refer to it to to add some kind of continuity to my story and hopefully save me writing so much out. Looking back on something you wrote is always a bit cringey especially because I can see that although I had made it a premise post, I was acting pretty confident that I was right and my tongue was acidic because of so much combating of shills on /biz/ but despite the fact I was wrong about the timing I stand by much of what I wrote then and want to expand upon it a bit more now.
The fork of the bitcoin protocol in to bitcoin core (BTC) and bitcoin cash (BCH) is the biggest value fork of the many that have occurred. There were a few others that forked off from the core chain that haven’t had any kind of attention put on them, positive or negative and I guess just keep chugging away as their own implementation. The bitcoin cash chain was supposed to be the camp that backed on chain scaling in the debate, but it turned out not everyone was entirely on board with that and some players/hashpower felt it was better to do a layer two type solution themselves although with bigger blocks servicing the second layer. Throughout what was now emerging as a debate within the BCH camp, Craig Wright and Calvin Ayre of Coin Geek said they were going to support massive on chain scaling, do a node implementation that would aim to restore bitcoin back to the 0.1.0 release which had all kinds of functionality included in it that had later been stripped by Core developers over the years and plan to bankrupt the people from Core who changed their mind on agreeing with on-chain scaling. This lead to a fork off the BCH chain in to bitcoin satoshis vision (BSV) and bitcoin cash ABC.

The premise for this post is that Craig S Wright was Satoshi Nakamoto. It’s an interesting premise because depending upon your frame of reference the premise may either be a fact or to some too outrageous to even believe as a premise. Yesterday it was announced via CoinGeek that Craig Steven Wright has been granted the copyright claim for both the bitcoin white-paper under the pen name Satoshi Nakamoto and the original 0.1.0 bitcoin software (both of which were marked (c) copyright of satoshi nakamoto. The reactions to the news can kind of be classified in to four different reactions. Those who heard it and rejected it, those who heard it but remained undecided, those who heard it and accepted it, and those who already believed he was. Apparently to many the price was unexpected and such a revelation wasn’t exactly priced in to the market with the price immediately pumping nearly 100% upon the news breaking. However, to some others it was a vindication of something they already believed. This is an interesting phenomena to observe. For many years now I have always occupied a somewhat positively contrarian position to the default narrative put forward to things so it’s not entirely surprising that I find myself in a camp that holds the minority opinion. As you can see in the bitcoin dethroned piece I called Craig fake satoshi, but over the last year and bit I investigated the story around Craig and came to my conclusion that I believed him to be at least a major part of a team of people who worked on the protocol I have to admit that through reading his articles, I have kind of been brought full circle to where my contrarian opinion has me becoming somewhat of an advocate for “the system’.
https://coingeek.com/bitcoin-creator-craig-s-wright-satoshi-nakamoto-granted-us-copyright-registrations-for-bitcoin-white-paper-and-code/

When the news dropped, many took to social media to see what everyone was saying about it. On /biz/ a barrage of threads popped up discussing it with many celebrating and many rejecting the significance of such a copyright claim being granted. Immediately in nearly every thread there was a posting of an image of a person from twitter claiming that registering for copyright is an easy process that’s granted automatically unless challenged and so it doesn’t mean anything. This was enough for many to convince them of the insignificance of the revelation because of the comment from a person who claimed to have authority on twitter. Others chimed in to add that in fact there was a review of the copyright registration especially in high profile instances and these reviewers were satisfied with the evidence provided by Craig for the claim. At the moment Craig is being sued by Ira Kleiman for an amount of bitcoin that he believes he is entitled to because of Craig and Ira’s brother Dave working together on bitcoin. He is also engaged in suing a number of people from the cryptocurrency community for libel and defamation after they continued to use their social media/influencer positions to call him a fraud and a liar. He also has a number of patents lodged through his company nChain that are related to blockchain technologies. This has many people up in arms because in their mind Satoshi was part of a cypherpunk movement, wanted anonymity, endorsed what they believed to be an anti state and open source technologies and would use cryptography rather than court to prove his identity and would have no interest in patents.

If you listen to Craig with an open mind, what cannot be denied is the man is bloody smart. Whether he is honest or not is up to you to decide, but personally I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and then cut them off if i find them to be dishonest. What I haven’t really been able to do with my investigation of craig is cut him off. There have been many moments where I disagree with what he has had to say but I don’t think people having an opinion about something that I believe to be incorrect is the same as being a dishonest person. It’s very important to distinguish the two and if you are unable to do so there is a very real risk of you projecting expectations or ideals upon someone based off your ideas of who they are. Many times if someone is telling the truth but you don’t understand it, instead of acknowledging you don’t understand it, you label them as being stupid or dishonest. I think that has happened to an extreme extent with Craig. Let’s take for example the moment when someone in the slack channel asked Craig if he had had his IQ tested and what it was. Craig replied with 179. The vast majority of people on the internet have heard someone quote their IQ before in an argument or the IQ of others and to hear someone say such a score that is actually 6 standard deviations away from the mean score (so probably something like 1/100 000) immediately makes them reject it on the grounds of probability. Craig admits that he’s not the best with people and having worked with/taught many high functioning people (sometimes on the spectrum perhaps) on complex anatomical and physiological systems I have seen some that also share the same difficulties in relating to people and reconciling their genius and understandings with more average intelligences. Before rejecting his claim outright because we don’t understand much of what he says, it would be prudent to first check is there any evidence that may lend support to his claim of a one in a million intelligence quotient.

Craig has mentioned on a number of occasions that he holds a number of different degrees and certifications in relation to law, cryptography, statistics, mathematics, economics, theology, computer science, information technology/security. I guess that does sound like something someone with an extremely high intelligence could achieve. Now I haven’t validated all of them but from a simple check on Charles Sturt’s alumni portal using his birthday of 23rd of October 1970 we can see that he does in fact have 3 Masters and a PhD from Charles Sturt. Other pictures I have seen from his office at nChain have degrees in frames on the wall and a developer published a video titled Craig Wright is a Genius with 17 degrees where he went and validated at least 8 of them I believe. He is recently publishing his Doctorate of Theology through an on-chain social media page that you have to pay a little bit for access to sections of his thesis. It’s titled the gnarled roots of creation. He has also mentioned on a number of occasions his vast industry experience as both a security contractor and business owner. An archive from his LinkedIn can be seen below as well.

In fact here is an on chain collection of articles and videos relating to Craig called the library of craig - https://www.bitpaste.app/tx/94b361b205196560d1bd09e4e3b3ec7ad6bea478af204cabfe243efd8fc944dd

So there is a guy with 17 degrees, a self professed one in a hundred thousand IQ, who’s worked for Australian Federal Police, ASIO, NSA, NASA, ASX. He’s been in Royal Australian Air Force, operated a number of businesses in Australia, published half a dozen academic papers on networks, cryptography, security, taught machine learning and digital forensics at a number of universities and then another few hundred short articles on medium about his work in these various domains, has filed allegedly 700 patents on blockchain related technology that he is going to release on bitcoin sv, copyrighted the name so that he may prevent other competing protocols from using the brand name, that is telling you he is the guy that invented the technology that he has a whole host of other circumstantial evidence to support that, but people won’t believe that because they saw something that a talking head on twitter posted or that a Core Developer said, or a random document that appears online with a C S Wright signature on it that lists access to an address that is actually related to Roger Ver, that’s enough to write him off as a scam. Even then when he publishes a photo of the paper copy which appears to supersede the scanned one, people still don’t readjust their positions on the matter and resort back to “all he has to do is move the coins or sign a tx”.

https://imgur.com/urJbe10

Yes Craig was on the Cypherpunk mailing list back in the day, but that doesn’t mean that he was or is an anarchist. Or that he shares the same ideas that Code Is Law that many from the crypto community like to espouse. I myself have definitely been someone to parrot the phrase myself before reading lots of Craig’s articles and trying to understand where he is coming from. What I have come to learn from listening and reading the man, is that although I might be fed up with the systems we have in place, they still exist to perform important functions within society and because of that the tools we develop to serve us have to exist within that preexisting legal and social framework in order for them to have any chance at achieving global success in replacing fiat money with the first mathematically provably scarce commodity. He says he designed bitcoin to be an immutable data ledger where everyone is forced to be honest, and economically disincentivised to perform attacks within the network because of the logs kept in a Write Once Read Many (WORM) ledger with hierarchical cryptographic keys. In doing so you eliminate 99% of cyber crime, create transparent DAO type organisations that can be audited and fully compliant with legislature that’s developed by policy that comes from direct democratic voting software. Everyone who wants anonymous coins wants to have them so they can do dishonest things, illegal things, buy drugs, launder money, avoid taxes.

Now this triggers me a fair bit as someone who has bought drugs online, who probably hasn’t paid enough tax, who has done illegal things contemplating what it means to have that kind of an evidence ledger, and contemplate a reality where there are anonymous cryptocurrencies, where massive corporations continue to be able to avoid taxes, or where methamphetamine can be sold by the tonne, or where people can be bought and sold. This is the reality of creating technologies that can enable and empower criminals. I know some criminals and regard them as very good friends, but I know there are some criminals that I do not wish to know at all. I know there are people that do horrific things in the world and I know that something that makes it easier for them is having access to funds or the ability to move money around without being detected. I know arms, drugs and people are some of the biggest markets in the world, I know there is more than $50 trillion dollars siphoned in to off shore tax havens from the value generated as the product of human creativity in the economy and how much human charity is squandered through the NGO apparatus. I could go on and on about the crappy things happening in the world but I can also imagine them getting a lot worse with an anonymous cryptocurrency. Not to say that I don’t think there shouldn’t be an anonymous cryptocurrency. If someone makes one that works, they make one that works. Maybe they get to exist for a little while as a honeypot or if they can operate outside the law successfully longer, but bitcoin itself shouldn’t be one. There should be something a level playing field for honest people to interact with sound money. And if they operate within the law, then they will have more than adequate privacy, just they will leave immutable evidence for every transaction that can be used as evidence to build a case against you committing a crime.

His claim is that all the people that are protesting the loudest about him being Satoshi are all the people that are engaged in dishonest business or that have a vested interest in there not being one singular global ledger but rather a whole myriad of alternative currencies that can be pumped and dumped against one another, have all kinds of financial instruments applied to them like futures and then have these exchanges and custodial services not doing any Know Your Customer (KYC) or Anti Money Laundering (AML) processes. Bitcoin SV was delisted by a number of exchanges recently after Craig launched legal action at some twitter crypto influencetalking heads who had continued to call him a fraud and then didn’t back down when the CEO of one of the biggest crypto exchanges told him to drop the case or he would delist his coin. The trolls of twitter all chimed in in support of those who have now been served with papers for defamation and libel and Craig even put out a bitcoin reward for a DOX on one of the people who had been particularly abusive to him on twitter. A big european exchange then conducted a twitter poll to determine whether or not BSV should be delisted as either (yes, it’s toxic or no) and when a few hundred votes were in favour of delisting it (which can be bought for a couple of bucks/100 votes). Shortly after Craig was delisted, news began to break of a US dollar stable coin called USDT potentially not being fully solvent for it’s apparent 1:1 backing of the token to dollars in the bank. Binance suffered an alleged exchange hack with 7000 BTC “stolen” and the site suspending withdrawals and deposits for a week. Binance holds 800m USDT for their US dollar markets and immediately once the deposits and withdrawals were suspended there was a massive pump for BTC in the USDT markets as people sought to exit their potentially not 1:1 backed token for bitcoin. The CEO of this exchange has the business registered out of Malta, no physical premises, the CEO stays hotel room to hotel room around the world, has all kind of trading competitions and the binance launchpad, uses an unregistered security to collect fees ($450m during the bear market) from the trading of the hundreds of coins that it lists on its exchange and has no regard for AML and KYC laws. Craig said he himself was able to create 100 gmail accounts in a day and create binance accounts with each of those gmail accounts and from the same wallet, deposit and withdraw 1 bitcoin into each of those in one day ($8000 x 100) without facing any restrictions or triggering any alerts or such.
This post could ramble on for ever and ever exposing the complexities of the rabbit hole but I wanted to offer some perspective on what’s been happening in the space. What is being built on the bitcoin SV blockchain is something that I can only partially comprehend but even from my limited understanding of what it is to become, I can see that the entirety of the crypto community is extremely threatened as it renders all the various alt coins and alt coin exchanges obsolete. It makes criminals play by the rules, it removes any power from the developer groups and turns the blockchain and the miners in to economies of scale where the blockchain acts as a serverless database, the miners provide computational resources/storage/RAM and you interact with a virtual machine through a monitor and keyboard plugged in to an ethernet port. It will be like something that takes us from a type 0 to a type 1 civilisation. There are many that like to keep us in the quagmire of corruption and criminality as it lines their pockets. Much much more can be read about the Cartel in crypto in the archive below. Is it possible this cartel has the resources to mount such a successful psychological operation on the cryptocurrency community that they manage to convince everyone that Craig is the bad guy, when he’s the only one calling for regulation, the application of the law, the storage of immutable records onchain to comply with banking secrecy laws, for Global Sound Money?

https://archive.fo/lk1lH#selection-3671.46-3671.55

Please note, where possible, images were uploaded onto the bitcoin sv blockchain through bitstagram paying about 10c a pop. If I wished I could then use an application etch and archive this post to the chain to be immutably stored. If this publishing forum was on chain too it would mean that when I do the archive the images that are in the bitstragram links (but stored in the bitcoin blockchain/database already) could be referenced in the archive by their txid so that they don’t have to be stored again and thus bringing the cost of the archive down to only the html and css.

Brave browser gives away free cryptocurrency (BAT)

Brave browser gives away free cryptocurrency (BAT)
Brave is a free, open-source web browser that allows you to earn free BAT cryptocurrency. The browser creators: founder of the world-famous JavaScript programming language and co-founder of such browsers as Mozilla and Firefox Brendan Eich.
In addition to excellent results (3 times faster than standard), the browser has a built-in ad-blocking module, what Adblock users should really enjoy. In my opinion, the system implemented in Brave is much better.
Occasionally, founders start an advertising campaigns in which Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) can be obtained for free. Later in this article, you'll learn how to earn them. The estimated cost of the BAT token check at Coinmarketcap.com.
In this guide, you will learn how to:
  1. Join the Reward program;
  2. Create and confirm an account on Uphold;
  3. How to withdraw BAT from Brave;
  4. Convert BAT to BitBay and convert it to your local currency.

Brave browser - my review and opinion

With the Brave browser, you can surf the web even faster. Tests have shown that the browser loads sites on computers twice as fast. Even better results were obtained on mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, where pages loaded 8 times faster.
https://preview.redd.it/5thrma6wpkp31.jpg?width=239&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9203864b860ad181578641b62d5e610d9cf19161
Increased security when surfing the Internet
The Brave web browser creators have taken care of their user's safety. Brave servers not only do not see browsing data and history, but also do not store them. Users can feel safe and easy to visit their favorite sites.
Most of the available security settings can be configured by the user according to his preferences. The browser has a built-in ad blocking system. You can check the number of blocked ads on the dashboard.
https://preview.redd.it/kjz7cyz0qkp31.jpg?width=560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=eb770f7cb131879d118062a0e2542e75924f5c53
Additionally, the Brave web browser can upgrade to HTTPS. That means you will almost always use an encrypted and secure connection.
Brave Browser, like Chrome and Firefox, has a built-in module to protect against phishing and malware. These modules are enabled by default, but you can turn them off at any time.
The reward for usage
That is interesting that the browser has launched a system that encourages both regular users and website creators.
https://preview.redd.it/lawroaf7qkp31.jpg?width=560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56c731fe44a3978f923e6db72672c0577682d9b3
Brave awards
So far, no one has paid for watching an ad, and you've paid for it without even watching. Advertising on the Internet has become so tedious that most of us have started using AdBlock to get rid of it.
Brave Browser allows you to choose between blocking ads and viewing them. If you choose the second option, you will be rewarded with free Basic Attention Token (BAT) cryptocurrency. Perfect, right?!
https://preview.redd.it/z6qsg6bbqkp31.jpg?width=560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa0664a38e2259ce120679d1e9f727b2edef1d13
Once a month, Brave will send a certain amount of BAT cryptocurrency to your personal wallet. This amount depends on the number of ads you have seen while surfing the Internet. Besides, websites you spent the most time on will also receive BAT tokens from Brave.

Detailed instruction how to get free BAT cryptocurrency

To collect 30 free BAT tokens, you must take part in a Brave organized promotion. Follow the instructions below.
https://preview.redd.it/gp0d14yhqkp31.jpg?width=560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aae8ad1769e5974654d565defe9f8cdc4454f58a
  1. Download Brave
  2. Start the Brave browser and enable "Brave Rewards". You can do this by typing " brave: // rewards / " in a browser window
  3. Click the BAT cryptocurrency icon (triangle). If any tokens are available, a message will be shown, otherwise repeat this action in 30 days.
  4. Click on "Rewards Settings", then click on the "Get" button. The number of tokens is limited, so if you don't see a "Claim" button, it means you don't have any funds available. They will be available soon if you are using Brave.
  5. 20 BAT tokens you received can be donated as a "tip".
  6. Now you have to register as a" publisher " to get your referral link. To do this, select the "Publishers" option. For each recommended user you can get $ 5 in equivalent of BAT currency.
  7. In the URL input field, type: "brave://rewards/" and start watching ads for BAT tokens (option will be available soon).
  8. Browsing the Internet with Brave, you can earn free BAT tokens.
Create and verify an account on Uphold
Creating and verifying an account with Uphold is a very important step. If you've completed all the steps above, you should already be a verified Brave publisher.
What is Uphold?
Uphold is a cloud-based financial services platform that allows its users to convert, store and execute transactions anywhere in any form of currency or goods immediately and securely. Website contributed more than 1 billion dollars for transactions made by participants from 181 countries.

To become a verified member:
  1. Go to www https://uphold.com/dashboard/membership/ and press "start";
  2. Enter your current home address;
  3. Take a photo of your valid ID, every detail should be clear, without glare. To do this, take a photo of one of the following documents:
  • Passport;
  • ID;
  • Driving license.
  1. Make a live photo (selfie) / photo of your face.
Tips for successful verification:
  1. Take a photo of your valid ID where every detail is legible without glare or particles.
  2. Take all photos in a brightly lit place.
  3. Turn off the flash to avoid glare on the document.
  4. Make sure the credentials match those in your Uphold account (official name, no pseudonyms).

  6. No photos. When taking a picture, it should be a "live selfie".
Verification is usually completed within a few minutes, and after confirmation, you get instant access to all resources.
Here is an example of verifying your identity using the Uphold web app:
https://i.redd.it/9wx912rwqkp31.gif
How do I link my Brave Rewards account to Uphold?
If you already have a verified Uphold account, it's time to link it to your Brave Rewards account. For this:
  1. Sign in to your publisher account with this URL: https://publishers.basicattentiontoken.org
  2. Find the "Your Uphold wallet" field on the left side of the publisher's panel
  3. To connect your account with Uphold, click corresponding button.
  4. If everything was fine, you will see a green sign "Connected".
https://preview.redd.it/ibysmap1rkp31.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1a144c51ceffd93173e8dad8ac39bc7fb735371
From now on, your funds in the form of BAT cryptocurrency, Brave browser will send directly to your Uphold wallet. This will happen 08th of every month.
If you have received a verified publisher status, you can transfer BAT cryptocurrency from Uphold wallet to any Bitcoin wallet, such as Exodus, or directly to exchange cryptocurrencies, for example, Binance.
ATTENTION!
The steps in the guide above don't guarantee 100% free BAT (Basic Attention Token) from brave.com. The pool of tokens intended for the campaign is limited in number. When registering on all sites described in the manual, you must provide confidential personal information, you do so at your own risk. I also recommend you to read all the terms of the contract.
Cryptocurrencies and their trading are complex instruments and involve a high risk of rapid money loss. The vast majority of retail investor accounts record losses as a result of cryptocurrency trading. Consider whether you understand how cryptocurrency works, and whether you can afford the high risk of losing money. When making investment decisions, you should be guided by your own opinion.

Weekly Update: Welcome HYDRO to ParJar, Parachute newsletter signup, MatchBX Gigs, Wysker Series and Continuous Wyskering... - 22 Mar - 28 Mar'19
Good day everyone! Here’s another update for the whirlwind week we had at Parachute and Parachute/ParJar partners. IRL work keeps me from churning these out on time. Working on catching up quickly to try to post future weekly updates faster:

A cool new community started to interact with ParJar this week. HYDRO was added to ParJar and ParJar added to the Hydro group. Fantom did a shoutout and CoinPedia also tweeted about ParJar. Thank you guys! Which makes me think, if this shoutout of the shoutout to our original shoutout is shoutouted by Fantom again, would it be a shoutoutception? Hmm. Also, we had our quirkiest game in ParJar yet. Parachuters had to use this site to find the most bizarre item. Best ones would win some cool PAR. Haha! The top picks were from Patri cko, Cryptovan and Clinton.
New Wonders of the World circa 2019
There’s a new email signup link for folks new to Parachute. If you’re not receiving Cap’s emails, you can sign up there. Close to USD 600 has already been raised for the Charity Parena. Woot! To get in, make a small donation (min USD 5 or crypto equivalent directly and let Jason know or tip Clinton through ParJar) and get a chance to win a 1-of-a-kind shirt from the Parachute Shop! Plus, kiddie gear is now available in the Parachute Shop. All profits from the shop go to charity. Games Master Jason turned 34 this week. Belated Happy Birthday to ya Florida Man! We had uber fun with an accidental Cap discovery this week. Add your favorite number at the end of the following link to jump to any chat in the group. For example the following link takes you to the first ever message in Parachute. Awesome!
Three Good Bois are counting on you to sign up for the Parachute newsletter
The 2gether card was launched on 27th March for use across the Eurozone. The presale event is now listed on ICObench. Make sure to check out the BCT ANN. Admins on their TG are rewarding members with 2GB who make thoughtful posts there. 2gether has an opening for a Java Software Engineer. Have a look at their job listing and apply if you have what it takes! Spanish speakers are in for a treat this week: Cointelegraph discussed about the company in a write-up, founder Salvador’s article on the zero marginal cost concept was featured in a UNIR publication and CEO Ramon’s interview during a Madrid Stock Exchange visit also came out. The 2GT token will be issued as a Virtual Financial Asset (VFA) in Malta. Read more about it here.
2gether is the only one with a regulated token
Still figuring out how to deploy your trading algo to your Binance account? Here’s a detailed look on how to set up your API keys and deploying a strategy to live markets on Binance using the Cryzen Code Studio. Also, belated birthday wishes to Shuvro. Hope you had a great one! Folks who haven’t subscribed to the Cryzen YouTube yet, subscribe now. They now have a custom handle. Community member Jonny did a little Cryzen shoutout towards the end of his detailed Crypto Asset Prediction Series. This week’s Saturday Rock Wars at PurpleCoin was for the best guitarist of all time. Jimi Hendrix won the public vote by a whopping margin. BOMB token is looking for ambassadors who can bring “liquidity, awareness, and education to the project”. Learn more about it here. Checked out Wysker Series yet? These are listicles of bundled relevant content aimed at user growth. Design geeks will find it fascinating. Plus, the app will see a new feature soon called Continuous Wyskering. Jonathan says: “After finishing one story, users will no longer have to go back to the home screen to discover new stories. Instead, the next story in line can be accessed with a simple swipe.” Neat! And finally, Birdchain has partnered with Blocklads to bring educational content to the app's learn tab. Look out for new content in that section!

Gigs are now live on MatchBX. Freelancers can create listings for their services directly and job posters can directly hire freelancers from there. Win win! If you’re not sure of what MatchBX is, read up on it here. Plus, the weekly AXPR burn went on as scheduled. Bounty0x crossed 500k+ monthly page views this week with a ~30% return visitor rate. If you’ve participated in a Cures Token bounty on Bounty0x, this article is super relevant. Also, KABN partnered with Bounty0x this week for running promotional bounties for their token offering. The ETHOS token is now listed on the ChangeNOW exchange. Much has been said about the Voyager-ETHOS deal so far. Shingo explains in this article why the partnership will be “setting new standards of transparency”. District0x’s weekly update covers a range of topics including Brady’s interview with A Garden of Crypto on all things District0x.
AXPR tokenomics
Altcoin Buzz featured Opacity this week and talked about their current development roadmap which includes the 1.0 site launch (which was also this week). Check out opacity.io for a look and feel of what’s in store for May. Badcredit wrote about Horizon State with a detailed piece. The Minister’s Recreational Fishing Advisory Council was announced this week as well. “The voting process has been transparent and historic - for the first time in South Australian Government history, Blockchain technology was used for the voting process." Big up to Horizon State for becoming a part of history! And finally, they closed off the week with a bang by getting listed on CoinExchange.io. John McAfee talks about Switch around the 11 minute mark in this interview with Satoshi Sean. Blockport was the centrepiece of this Coinvision article that explains the ins and outs of both the exchange as well as the BPT/BPS tokens. The Blockport STO is set for April 15th with more details in this post. If you’re interested and live in the EU or the US, the whitelist procedure is explained here. And finally, onto some Fantom news. Coinspeaker elaborates what the myriad partnerships mean for Fantom in this article. Like last week, Fantom capped off this week too with another exchange listing – ChainX. Boom!

Thank you for taking the time. See you soon with another weekly update. Cheerio!

I wrote a 30,000 ft. "executive summary" intro document for cryptos. Not for you, for your non-technical parents or friends.

This document was originally written for my dad, an intelligent guy who was utterly baffled about the cryptocurrency world. The aim was to be extremely concise, giving a broad overview of the industry and some popular coins while staying non-technical. For many of you there will be nothing new here, but recognize that you are in the 0.001% of the population heavily into crypto technology.
I've reproduced it for Reddit below, or you can find the original post here on my website. Download the PDF there or hit the direct link: .PDF version.
Donations happily accepted:
ETH: 0x4e03Bf5CCE3eec4Ddae4d3d6aAD46ca4f198AeD6 BTC: 1GqWMZRRygRJJWYYTWHkAVoRcgyQHjgBMZ XMR: 42Y1S1KBoPk381kc7hA68zaiC78BxMoCADjLrFcTdWiE7ejhZc49s1t9i7P2EmTnHsLDiKoSUiogCbLVHXRJxjrCT4WG8ic XRB: xrb_1bpzh745s9kzk8ymfnks3jtdi65ayumdstokzd4yw4ohu3fopxmiocjcntcu

Background

This document is purely informational. At the time of writing there are over 1000 cryptocurrencies (“cryptos”) in a highly volatile, high risk market. Many of the smaller “altcoins” require significant technical knowledge to store and transact safely. I advise you to carefully scrutinize each crypto’s flavor of blockchain, potential utility, team of developers, and guiding philosophy, before making any investment [1] decisions. With that out of the way, what follows are brief, extremely high-level summaries of some cryptos which have my interest, listed in current market cap order. But first, some info:
Each crypto is a different implementation of a blockchain network. Originally developed as decentralized digital cash, these technologies have evolved into much broader platforms, powering the future of decentralized applications across every industry in the global economy. Without getting into the weeds, [2] most cryptos work on similar principles:
Distributed Ledgers Each node on a blockchain network has a copy of every transaction, which enables a network of trust that eliminates fraud. [3]
Decentralized “Miners” comprise the infrastructure of a blockchain network. [4] They are monetarily incentivized to add computing power to the network, simultaneously securing and processing each transaction. [5]
Peer-to-peer Cryptos act like digital cash-- they require no third party to transact and are relatively untraceable. Unlike cash, you can back them up.
Global Transactions are processed cheaply and instantly, anywhere on Earth. Using cryptos, an African peasant and a San Francisco engineer have the same access to capital, markets, and network services.
Secure Blockchains are predicated on the same cryptographic technology that secures your sensitive data and government secrets. They have passed seven years of real-world penetration testing with no failures. [6]

Bitcoin (BTC)

The first cryptocurrency. As with first movers in any technology, there are associated pros and cons. Bitcoin has by far the strongest brand recognition and deepest market penetration, and it is the only crypto which can be used directly as a currency at over 100,000 physical and web stores around the world. In Venezuela and Zimbabwe, where geopolitical events have created hyperinflation in the centralized fiat currency, citizens have moved to Bitcoin as a de facto transaction standard. [7]
However, Bitcoin unveiled a number of issues that have been solved by subsequent cryptos. It is experiencing significant scaling issues, resulting in high fees and long confirmation times. The argument over potential solutions created a rift in the Bitcoin developer community, who “forked” the network into two separate blockchains amidst drama and politicking in October 2017. Potential solutions to these issues abound, with some already in place, and others nearing deployment.
Bitcoin currently has the highest market cap, and since it is easy to buy with fiat currency, the price of many smaller cryptos (“altcoins”) are loosely pegged to its price. This will change in the coming year(s).

Ethereum (ETH)

Where Bitcoin is a currency, Ethereum is a platform, designed as a foundational protocol on which to develop decentralized applications (“Dapps”). Anyone can write code and deploy their program on the global network for extremely low fees. Just like Twitter wouldn’t exist without the open platform of the internet, the next world-changing Dapp can’t exist without Ethereum.
Current Dapps include a global market for idle computing power and storage, peer-to-peer real estate transactions (no trusted third party for escrow), identity networks for governments and corporations (think digital Social Security card), and monetization strategies for the internet which replace advertising. Think back 10 years to the advent of smartphones, and then to our culture today-- Ethereum could have a similar network effect on humanity.
Ethereum is currently the #2 market cap crypto below Bitcoin, and many believe it will surpass it in 2018. It has a large, active group of developers working to solve scaling issues, [8] maintain security, and create entirely new programming conventions. If successful, platforms like Ethereum may well be the foundation of the decentralized internet of the future.

Ripple (XRP)

Ripple is significantly more centralized than most crypto networks, designed as a backbone for the global banking and financial technology (“fintech”) industries. It is a network for exchanging between fiat currencies and other asset classes instantly and cheaply, especially when transacting cross-border and between separate institutions. It uses large banks and remittance companies as “anchors” to allow trading between any asset on the network, and big names like Bank of America, American Express, RBC, and UBS are partners. The utility of this network is global and massive in scale.
It is extremely important to note that not all cryptos have the same number of tokens. Ripple has 100 Billion tokens compared to Bitcoin’s 21 Million. Do not directly compare price between cryptos. XRP will likely never reach $1k, [9] but the price will rise commensurate with its utility as a financial tool.
In some sense, Ripple is anathema to the original philosophical vision of this technology space. And while I agree with the cyberpunk notion of decentralized currencies, separation of money and state, this is the natural progression of the crypto world. The internet was an incredible decentralized wild west of Usenet groups and listservs before Eternal September and the dot-com boom, but its maturation affected every part of global society.

Cardano (ADA)

Cardano’s main claim to fame: it is the only crypto developed using academic methodologies by a global collective of engineers and researchers, built on a foundation of industry-leading, peer-reviewed cryptographic research. The network was designed from first-principles to allow scalability, system upgrades, and to balance the privacy of its users with the security needs of regulators.
One part of this ecosystem is the Cardano Foundation, a Swiss non-profit founded to work proactively with governments and regulatory bodies to institute legal frameworks around the crypto industry. Detractors of Cardano claim that it doesn’t do anything innovative, but supporters see the academic backing and focus on regulation development as uniquely valuable.

Stellar Lumens (XLM)

Stellar Lumens and Ripple were founded by the same person. They initially shared the same code, but today the two are distinct in their technical back-end as well as their guiding philosophy and development goals. Ripple is closed-source, for-profit, deflationary, and intended for use by large financial institutions. Stellar is open-source, non-profit, inflationary, and intended to promote international wealth distribution. As such, they are not direct competitors.
IBM is a major partner to Stellar. Their network is already processing live transactions in 12 currency corridors across the South Pacific, with plans to process 60% of all cross-border payments in the South Pacific’s retail foreign exchange corridor by Q2 2018.
Beyond its utility as a financial tool, the Stellar network may become a competitor to Ethereum as a platform for application development and Initial Coin Offerings (“ICOs”). The theoretical maximum throughput for the network is higher, and it takes less computational power to run. The Stellar development team is highly active, has written extensive documentation for third-party developers, and has an impressive list of advisors, including Patrick Collison (Stripe), Sam Altman (Y Combinator), and other giants in the software development community.

Iota (IOT)

Iota was developed as the infrastructure backbone for the Internet of Things (IoT), sometimes called the machine economy. As the world of inanimate objects is networked together, their need to communicate grows exponentially. Fridges, thermostats, self-driving cars, printers, planes, and industrial sensors all need a secure protocol with which to transact information.
Iota uses a “Tangle” instead of a traditional blockchain, and this is the main innovation driving the crypto’s value. Each device that sends a transaction confirms two other transactions in the Tanlge. This removes the need for miners, and enables unique features like zero fees and infinite scalability. The supply of tokens is fixed forever at 2.8*1015, a staggeringly large number (almost three thousand trillion), and the price you see reported is technically “MIOT”, or the price for a million tokens.

Monero (XMR)

The most successful privacy-focused cryptocurrency. In Bitcoin and most other cryptos, anyone can examine the public ledger and trace specific coins through the network. If your identity can be attached to a public address on that network, an accurate picture of your transaction history can be built-- who, what, and when. Monero builds anonymity into the system using strong cryptographic principles, which makes it functionally impossible to trace coins, [10] attach names to wallets, or extract metadata from transactions. The development team actively publishes in the cryptography research community.
Anonymous transactions are not new-- we call it cash. Only in the past two decades has anonymity grown scarce in the first-world with the rise of credit cards and ubiquitous digital records. Personal data is becoming the most valuable resource on Earth, and there are many legitimate reasons for law-abiding citizens to want digital privacy, but it is true that with anonymity comes bad actors-- Monero is the currency of choice for the majority of black market (“darknet”) transactions. Similarly, US Dollars are the main vehicle for the $320B annual drug trade. An investment here should be based on the underlying cryptographic research and technology behind this coin, as well as competitors like Zcash. [11]

RaiBlocks (XRB)

Zero fees and instantaneous transfer make RaiBlocks extremely attractive for exchange of value, in many senses outperforming Bitcoin at its original intended purpose. This crypto has seen an explosion in price and exposure over the past month, and it may become the network of choice for transferring value within and between crypto exchanges.
Just in the first week of 2018: the CEO of Ledger (makers of the most popular hardware wallet on the market) waived the $50k code review fee to get RaiBlocks on his product, and XRB got listed on Binance and Kucoin, two of the largest altcoin exchanges globally. This is one to watch for 2018. [12]

VeChain (VEN)

Developed as a single answer to the problem of supply-chain logistics, VeChain is knocking on the door of a fast-growing $8 trillion industry. Every shipping container and packaged product in the world requires constant tracking and verification. A smart economy for logistics built on the blockchain promises greater efficiency and lower cost through the entire process flow.
Don’t take my word for it-- VeChain has investment from PwC (5th largest US corporation), Groupe Renault, Kuehne & Nagel (world’s largest freight company), and DIG (China’s largest wine importer). The Chinese government has mandated VeChain to serve as blockchain technology partner to the city of Gui’an, a special economic zone and testbed for China’s smart city of the future. This crypto has some of the strongest commercial partnerships in the industry, and a large active development team.
  1. “Investment” is a misnomer. Cryptos are traded like securities, but grant you no equity (like trading currency).
  2. The weeds for Bitcoin: basic intro (1:36), non-technical explanation (5:24), Bitcoin 101 – Andreas Antonopoulos (23:51).
  3. It is impossible to double-spend or create a fake transaction, as each ledger is confirmed against every other ledger.
  4. Some utility token blockchains use DAG networks or similar non-linear networks which don’t require mining.
  5. In practice, these are giant warehouses full of specialized computers constantly processing transactions. Miners locate to the cheapest electricity source, and the bulk of mining currently occurs in China.
  6. Centralized second-layer exchange websites have been hacked, but the core technology is untouched.
  7. This effect has been termed "bitcoinization".
  8. The Ethereum roadmap shows moving from a Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus model.
  9. At $2.62 per XRP token, Ripple already commands a $100B market cap.
  10. After a January 2017 update.
  11. Monero uses ring signatures while Zcash uses ZK-SNARKs to create anonymity. Both have pros and cons.
  12. Note: all signs point to this crypto being renamed “Nano” in the coming weeks: nano.co.

The charitable division of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the launch of a special program in which cryptocurrencies are collected to help the victims of hurricane Dorian.
Donations can be made in bitcoins, Binance Coin's own token, and XRP tokens. After the end of the campaign, the funds will be transferred to the Hurricane Relief project. At the time of publication, 17 donations were made in the amount of 0.5622 BTC, which at the current rate is about $5700.
Representatives of Binance Charity point out that all transactions are recorded in the blockchain, and therefore can be verified at any time.
According to reports from the International Red Cross and Red Crescent, more than 400,000 people are in need of food and other assistance following the passage of hurricane Dorian. More than 13,000 homes were destroyed. The Bahamas suffered the most from the hurricane.

Decred Journal — June 2018

Note: You can read this on GitHub, Medium or old Reddit to see the 207 links.

Development

The biggest announcement of the month was the new kind of decentralized exchange proposed by @jy-p of Company 0. The Community Discussions section considers the stakeholders' response.
dcrd: Peer management and connectivity improvements. Some work for improved sighash algo. A new optimization that gives 3-4x faster serving of headers, which is great for SPV. This was another step towards multipeer parallel downloads – check this issue for a clear overview of progress and planned work for next months (and some engineering delight). As usual, codebase cleanup, improvements to error handling, test infrastructure and test coverage.
Decrediton: work towards watching only wallets, lots of bugfixes and visual design improvements. Preliminary work to integrate SPV has begun.
Politeia is live on testnet! Useful links: announcement, introduction, command line voting example, example proposal with some votes, mini-guide how to compose a proposal.
Trezor: Decred appeared in the firmware update and on Trezor website, currently for testnet only. Next steps are mainnet support and integration in wallets. For the progress of Decrediton support you can track this meta issue.
dcrdata: Continued work on Insight API support, see this meta issue for progress overview. It is important for integrations due to its popularity. Ongoing work to add charts. A big database change to improve sorting on the Address page was merged and bumped version to 3.0. Work to visualize agenda voting continues.
Ticket splitting: 11-way ticket split from last month has voted (transaction).
Ethereum support in atomicswap is progressing and welcomes more eyeballs.
decred.org: revamped Press page with dozens of added articles, and a shiny new Roadmap page.
decredinfo.com: a new Decred dashboard by lte13. Reddit announcement here.
Dev activity stats for June: 245 active PRs, 184 master commits, 25,973 added and 13,575 deleted lines spread across 8 repositories. Contributions came from 2 to 10 developers per repository. (chart)

Network

Hashrate: growth continues, the month started at 15 and ended at 44 PH/s with some wild 30% swings on the way. The peak was 53.9 PH/s.
F2Pool was the leader varying between 36% and 59% hashrate, followed by coinmine.pl holding between 18% and 29%. In response to concerns about its hashrate share, F2Pool made a statement that they will consider measures like rising the fees to prevent growing to 51%.
Staking: 30-day average ticket price is 94.7 DCR (+3.4). The price was steadily rising from 90.7 to 95.8 peaking at 98.1. Locked DCR grew from 3.68 to 3.81 million DCR, the highest value was 3.83 million corresponding to 47.87% of supply (+0.7% from previous peak).
Nodes: there are 240 public listening and 115 normal nodes per dcred.eu. Version distribution: 57% on v1.2.0 (+12%), 25% on v1.1.2 (-13%), 14% on v1.1.0 (-1%). Note: the reported count of non-listening nodes has dropped significantly due to data reset at decred.eu. It will take some time before the crawler collects more data. On top of that, there is no way to exactly count non-listening nodes. To illustrate, an alternative data source, charts.dcr.farm showed 690 reachable nodes on Jul 1.
Extraordinary event: 247361 and 247362 were two nearly full blocks. Normally blocks are 10-20 KiB, but these blocks were 374 KiB (max is 384 KiB).

ASICs

Update from Obelisk: shipping is expected in first half of July and there is non-zero chance to meet hashrate target.
Another Chinese ASIC spotted on the web: Flying Fish D18 with 340 GH/s at 180 W costing 2,200 CNY (~340 USD). (asicok.comtranslated, also on asicminervalue)
dcrASIC team posted a farewell letter. Despite having an awesome 16 nm chip design, they decided to stop the project citing the saturated mining ecosystem and low profitability for their potential customers.

Integrations

bepool.org is a new mining pool spotted on dcred.eu.
Exchange integrations:
Two OTC trading desks are now shown on decred.org exchanges page.
BitPro payment gateway added Decred and posted on Reddit. Notably, it is fully functional without javascript or cookies and does not ask for name or email, among other features.
Guarda Wallet integrated Decred. Currently only in their web wallet, but more may come in future. Notable feature is "DCR purchase with a bank card". See more details in their post or ask their representative on Reddit. Important: do your best to understand the security model before using any wallet software.

Adoption

Merchants:
BlueYard Capital announced investment in Decred and the intent to be long term supporters and to actively participate in the network's governance. In an overview post they stressed core values of the project:
There are a few other remarkable characteristics that are a testament to the DNA of the team behind Decred: there was no sale of DCR to investors, no venture funding, and no payment to exchanges to be listed – underscoring that the Decred team and contributors are all about doing the right thing for long term (as manifested in their constitution for the project).
The most encouraging thing we can see is both the quality and quantity of high calibre developers flocking to the project, in addition to a vibrant community attaching their identity to the project.
The company will be hosting an event in Berlin, see Events below.
Arbitrade is now mining Decred.

Community Discussions

Community stats: Twitter followers 40,209 (+1,091), Reddit subscribers 8,410 (+243), Slack users 5,830 (+172), GitHub 392 stars and 918 forks of dcrd repository.
An update on our communication systems:
Jake Yocom-Piatt did an AMA on CryptoTechnology, a forum for serious crypto tech discussion. Some topics covered were Decred attack cost and resistance, voting policies, smart contracts, SPV security, DAO and DPoS.
A new kind of DEX was the subject of an extensive discussion in #general, #random, #trading channels as well as Reddit. New channel #thedex was created and attracted more than 100 people.
A frequent and fair question is how the DEX would benefit Decred. @lukebp has put it well:
Projects like these help Decred attract talent. Typically, the people that are the best at what they do aren’t driven solely by money. They want to work on interesting projects that they believe in with other talented individuals. Launching a DEX that has no trading fees, no requirement to buy a 3rd party token (including Decred), and that cuts out all middlemen is a clear demonstration of the ethos that Decred was founded on. It helps us get our name out there and attract the type of people that believe in the same mission that we do. (slack)
Another concern that it will slow down other projects was addressed by @davecgh:
The intent is for an external team to take up the mantle and build it, so it won't have any bearing on the current c0 roadmap. The important thing to keep in mind is that the goal of Decred is to have a bunch of independent teams on working on different things. (slack)
A chat about Decred fork resistance started on Twitter and continued in #trading. Community members continue to discuss the finer points of Decred's hybrid system, bringing new users up to speed and answering their questions. The key takeaway from this chat is that the Decred chain is impossible to advance without votes, and to get around that the forker needs to change the protocol in a way that would make it clearly not Decred.
"Against community governance" article was discussed on Reddit and #governance.
"The Downside of Democracy (and What it Means for Blockchain Governance)" was another article arguing against on-chain governance, discussed here.
Reddit recap: mining rig shops discussion; how centralized is Politeia; controversial debate on photos of models that yielded useful discussion on our marketing approach; analysis of a drop in number of transactions; concerns regarding project bus factor, removing central authorities, advertising and full node count – received detailed responses; an argument by insette for maximizing aggregate tx fees; coordinating network upgrades; a new "Why Decred?" thread; a question about quantum resistance with a detailed answer and a recap of current status of quantum resistant algorithms.
Chats recap: Programmatic Proof-of-Work (ProgPoW) discussion; possible hashrate of Blake-256 miners is at least ~30% higher than SHA-256d; how Decred is not vulnerable to SPV leaf/node attack.

Markets

DCR opened the month at ~$93, reached monthly high of $110, gradually dropped to the low of $58 and closed at $67. In BTC terms it was 0.0125 -> 0.0150 -> 0.0098 -> 0.0105. The downturn coincided with a global decline across the whole crypto market.
In the middle of the month Decred was noticed to be #1 in onchainfx "% down from ATH" chart and on this chart by @CoinzTrader. Towards the end of the month it dropped to #3.

Relevant External

Obelisk announced Launchpad service. The idea is to work with coin developers to design a custom, ASIC-friendly PoW algorithm together with a first batch of ASICs and distribute them among the community.
Equihash-based ZenCash was hit by a double spend attack that led to a loss of $450,000 by the exchange which was targeted.
Almost one year after collecting funds, Tezos announced a surprise identification procedure to claim tokens (non-javascript version).
A hacker broke into Syscoin's GitHub account and implanted malware stealing passwords and private keys into Windows binaries. This is a painful reminder for everybody to verify binaries after download.
Circle announced new asset listing framework for Poloniex. Relevant to recent discussions of exchange listing bribery:
Please note: we will not accept any kind of payment to list an asset.
Bithumb got hacked with a $30 m loss.
Zcash organized Zcon0, an event in Canada that focused on privacy tech and governance. An interesting insight from Keynote Panel on governance: "There is no such thing as on-chain governance".
Microsoft acquired GitHub. There was some debate about whether it is a reason to look into alternative solutions like GitLab right now. It is always a good idea to have a local copy of Decred source code, just in case.
Status update from @sumiflow on correcting DCR supply on various sites:
To begin with, none of the below sites were showing the correct supply or market cap for Decred but we've made some progress. coingecko.com, coinlib.io, cryptocompare.com, livecoinwatch.com, worldcoinindex.com - corrected! cryptoindex.co, onchainfx.com - awaiting fix coinmarketcap.com - refused to fix because devs have coins too? (slack)

About This Issue

This is the third issue of Decred Journal after April and May.
Most information from third parties is relayed directly from source after a minimal sanity check. The authors of Decred Journal have no ability to verify all claims. Please beware of scams and do your own research.
The new public Matrix logs look promising and we hope to transition from Slack links to Matrix links. In the meantime, the way to read Slack links is explained in the previous issue.
As usual, any feedback is appreciated: please comment on Reddit, GitHub or #writers_room. Contributions are welcome too, anything from initial collection to final review to translations.
Credits (Slack names, alphabetical order): bee and Richard-Red. Special thanks to @Haon for bringing May 2018 issue to medium.

Sextortion Scam - Follow the money

Sextortion Scam - Follow the money
I know that there are some articles about that topic, but i didn't see anyone that tried to track the money:

A few months ago there was a somewhat peculiar phishing campaign. The campaign of sextortion mails, in which a password of the victim was mentioned and an amount X of money was requested in exchange for not publishing a sensitive content of the same.
An example fragment of these mails can be the following:
I am well aware shitpassword is your password. Lets get right to the point. You do not know me and you're probably thinking why you're getting this mail? No-one has paid me to investigate about you.
Well, I actually setup a software on the adult streaming (pornographic material) website and you know what, you visited this site to have fun (you know what I mean). When you were viewing videos, your web browser began working as a Remote Desktop that has a key logger which provided me access to your screen and web camera. Just after that, my software gathered your complete contacts from your Messenger, social networks, as well as e-mail . And then I created a video. 1st part shows the video you were watching (you have a good taste ; )), and next part shows the view of your web camera, and its you.
You will have not one but two choices. We will read up on each of these solutions in aspects:
Very first solution is to neglect this email message. In this situation, I am going to send out your very own video to just about all of your contacts and think concerning the awkwardness you can get. And consequently should you be in an important relationship, precisely how it is going to affect?
Next alternative is to give me $5000. Let us name it as a donation. Consequently, I will straight away eliminate your video recording. You could go on your way of life like this never happened and you are never going to hear back again from me.
You'll make the payment through Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search for "how to buy bitcoin" in Google).
BTC Address to send to: 1MkB7HxxxxxqiNAiJUd7DCTEbAyVG9ab2y
[...]

In the emails it was requested as payment from $ 1000 up to $ 7000 in some occasions, depending on the variant of received message:
Number 2 option would be to pay me $5000. Let us regard it as a donation. In this instance, I will quickly discard your video. You can keep on your way of life like this never occurred and you surely will never hear back again from me.

2nd option is to pay me $1000. We are going to name it as a donation. In such a case, I will straightaway eliminate your video recording. You could go on with your daily ro utine like this never occurred and you will not ever hear back again from me.

Other alternative will be to give me $6000. We will regard it as a donation. Then, I most certainly will straightaway erase your video recording. You will continue on your way of life like this never occurred and you will not ever hear back again from me.

I was curious, so I decided to investigate this fraud a little more thoroughly. I collected about 1500 emails from people who notified that they was victims of that fraud. For that I scraped several websites in which this type of case is reported. I extracted the addresses of bitcoin and checked through the blockchain API which of them received a payment.
Of the entire sample, around 325 addresses have received a payment. This means that around 20% of the victims are paying (in the event that the pattern of the sample continues). You can get an idea of the amount of money that can be earned behind this scam.
Confirmed payments of 322 addresses involved on sextortion scam - Maltego CE

In total, the addresses have raised $ 176,010. If we follow the trail of transactions, we can see how the funds end up in their vast majority in the Binance hot wallet and another direction apparently associated with Poloniex.

I have also detected some intermediate addresses that have moved a lot of money, and interesting end addresses like the following:
Transaction tracking - Maltego CE

Another address that caught my attention for having seen it before related to cases of scams was the following:
This address appears related to cases of fraud, in the following articles (highly recommended) this data can be appreciated.
Apart from these addresses, there are too many relevant addresses to detail each one in the post.
As you can see, the amount of money that moves between these addresses is overwhelming. This makes me think about the possibility that the same addresses are used to move funds from other scams.
Transaction tracking becomes quite complicated, with more than 10,000 addresses appearing in the tracking of a single payment.
Tracking a payment - Maltego CE

At this point, due to lack of resources and time, I think it is unfeasible for me to continue the investigation alone.
If someone wants to collaborate in the investigation or needs the data, contact me.

Data from the top 20 fastest growing communities in crypto over the last month (X-POST /r/CryptoCurrency)

Hey everyone, for the past couple months I have been working on a project called Coinmunity. Coinmunity is an app that focuses on the growth of crypto communities, which in the market right now, has so much effect in driving price changes. Each day it tracks which coins have the combined highest % of growth in their Twitter and Reddit communities combined.

Today, Coinmunity has now been live for one month, so I thought I would share what patterns I have personally picked out, having worked on the data, and observing the rankings during development and while live.

What I have noticed is that you will see certain coins start to creep up higher and higher into the top 10 or 15 communities consistently before a price increase. The best example is TRX. You can see from this reddit post that I made 27 days ago, that /Tron had the top community while it was still at $.01 ( and it continues to consistently be in top 10 even now.) I think most of us can agree TRX has some big issues, but the point is that it’s very important to know which coins have the most eyes on them; because when people are watching a coin, they’ll usually buy it.

Here are the 20 coins with the most growth in their communities in the last 30 days:
#1 TRX - Price Change: +2664.018%, Total Social Change:+3904.851%
#2 VEN - Price Change: +709.507%, Total Social Change:+974.497%
#3 XVG - Price Change: +2005.76%, Total Social Change:+925.614%
#4 ADA - Price Change: +467.414%, Total Social Change:+714.406%
#5 FUN - Price Change: +366.608%, Total Social Change:+611.430%
#6 REQ - Price Change: +646.897%, Total Social Change:+607.782%
#7 BNB - Price Change: +546.153%, Total Social Change:+ 558.920%
#8 SUB - Price Change: +619.376%, Total Social Change:+501.659%
#9 XLM - Price Change: +249.216%, Total Social Change:+501.642%
#10 ARN - Price Change: +1020.204%, Total Social Change:+469.129%
#11 ENG - Price Change: +1162.809%, Total Social Change:+427.344%
#12 MANA - Price Change: +236.856%, Total Social Change:+393.404%
#13 XRP - Price Change: +812.067%, Total Social Change:+389.193%
#14 ETN - Price Change: +60.470%, Total Social Change:+366.755%
#15 QSP - Price Change: +518.553%, Total Social Change:+346.401%
#16 SALT - Price Change: +76.836%, Total Social Change:+331.701%
#17 AST Price Change: +561.384%, Total Social Change:+272.433%
#18 THC - Price Change: +711.952%, Total Social Change:+265.797%
#19 NULS - Price Change: +587.179%, Total Social Change:+234.036%
#20 QASH - Price Change: +104.2105%, Total Social Change:+208.4238%
*Total social change => reddit and twitter growth

It probably wouldn’t be the best decision to buy a coin based off just community growth, so Coinmunity pulls each coin’s full subreddit to make it easy to quickly research the coin and see if there is any upcoming big news.

Some upcoming features that we think will add value:

If you have an android, the app is currently in development, but I have made a mobile friendly web app that is available at https://coinmunity.co! I will announce on the Coinmunity twitter when it is completed.

As Coinmunity continues to grow, I will start to collect more and more data on social activity surrounding these coins, such as retweets, comments, upvotes, etc. One relationship that I am looking forward to explore is the amount of exchanges a coin is available on vs social growth vs price growth. I think there is a sweet-spot before a coin is widely enough available to experience huge price jumps, where it would be the best time to buy a coin. If this is something you guys are interested in please let me know and I will continue to post each month about further discoveries from the data!

Lisk Highlights weekly roundup February 9th 2019.

Hello everybody. The LISK project and it's enthusiasts are always busy, and this week past has certainly been no exception.
Seeing is believing, so here is a recap of the highlights and interesting items from the past week on the LISK subreddit and beyond.....

Lisk's 11th LIP – Some Viewpoints on the Proposal to Change to one Vote Per Account.

I am sure you are all aware by now that HQ has just opened the discussion for their 11th LIP (Lisk Improvement Proposal) dealing with the "change to one vote per account in our DPoS". A thread was started on the Lisk subreddit announcing this LIP content and it provoked a lot of intense debate.
This LIP of course is for now just a proposal by the Lisk project team, and it should create discussion around what is best for the network. HQ advise that any interested community members should join the conversation by signing up to the LIP mailing list HERE. Lightcurve science team member Iker posted "Hey guys, we are looking forward to your contributions regarding this and other proposals. We will check all the community inputs in the mailing list.
Community Lead of the Lisk project, Mat Piaggi, produced a summary of the initial discussion on the Lisk Chat channel regarding this latest LIP. It features Iker from the Lisk science team and Chief R&D Officer and Co-founder of GNY, Richard Jarritt. You can read it HERE

Lisk Sidechain Project's CEO Attends Meeting With the EU Commission.

Christian Junger, CEO of the MADANA project recently met with Dr. Florent Frederix, a Cybersecurity expert from the European Commission in Brussels. I have heard that they discussed eprivacy, and cybersecurity of course. The importance of GDPR compliant technology for a more privacy-driven business world was chief among the talking points with MADANA being touted as one of the suitable project to uphold this imperative. It is no surprise so that the MADANA project is due to be one of the first major dApps to be built on a Lisk sidechain. This platform for data analysis using Blockchain technology allows participants to get in on the data market with their own data, whilst simultaneously preserving their privacy by design. The MADANA project has closed its pre-sale and is now preparing for its main sale
You can view an image of Christian's meeting in Brussels HERE.

LISK Sidechain Project's Founder Releases Three Exciting Pieces of Development Info.

You are all probably aware of GNY.io, the team bringing Machine Learning to Lisk via the sidechain LML (Lisk Machine Learning). Well, Chief R&D Officer and Co-founder of GNY, Richard Jarritt, in conversation with the projects followers on the GNY telegram dropped three exciting pieces of info over the the last few days.

1. Low fees.
The development team, which includes head of blockchain development, Leo Liang (known from the Asch decentralized application platform), have concluded their design where the Machine Learning data will be written into a contract. This is created with a low fee and then the Machine Learning reply (the prediction) is returned with another contract.

2. Timescale.
The team are aiming to get this Machine Learning and codebase integration completed by the month of March.

3. Unique.
You may may have seen blockchain before..... you may have seen Machine Learning before..... You may have even seen blockchain and Machine Learning combined before, however no competitors as yet have implemented or even attempted such a system where all the Machine Learning is done on chain, so data does not leave the security of the chain.
Plus the Machine Learning script does not grow exponentially. It is specifically coded to shed unneeded weight and prune off information, so that the data does not become too large for the chain. With each block, GNY's machine learning system is reading past data and the current data inputting into the block. It then makes a note of the pruned output, which is included in a contract for the next block.
The GNY universal Beta Api plug-in update is out now and testing is welcomed for commercial developers aiming to work with Machine learning and blockchain. You can visit Github to view the steps to run it HERE.

Lisk Play Prize Pool Swells and Another Lisk Game is On the Horizon.

A new community contest created by Lemii is receiving a great deal of support from the Liskers at large. Lisk Play is fun tool enabling simple contests to be played for a nominal amount of LSK. It's aim, besides bringing community together with fun, is to showcase a simple use case for transaction fields in explorer such as time, date, message, and so on with trivial value transactions. This is entirely a community initiative and has no affiliation to Lisk HQ, Lightcurve or the Lisk Foundation.
The first engagement of Lisk Play is a contest where the goal is to predict the opening price of Bitcoin as at 00:00 on the 1st of March 2019. Entering the competition costs 1 LSK and the closest prediction wins the sum of all LSK collected plus a top up fund kindly donated by stellardynamic of www.liskusa.io
The prize pool has now swelled to 120 LSK. You have to get moving though to enter as the deadline for all predictions is February 16th. You can check it out HERE.
In my opinion Lemii is to be commended for the work he has put into this project alongside his consultants Crosssy, Maul, Lisk.ftw, and Sexor (minions).

Now to the other Lisk game that is upcoming. My sources tell me that a Telegram contest is being worked on at present. I believe it will take the form of a treasure hunt type contest with hints given that will lead the lucky winnes to a cache of LSK. Sounds good? Of course it does. I will have more on the game in a short while.

LISK Videos around the World: Misss Bitcoin.

Dutch crypto Youtuber "Misss Bitcoin" released a new English language video titled "TA MONDAY | Technical Analysis on Bitcoin, Litecoin & Lisk". Misss Bitcoin AKA Maddie describes herself and her channel as follows..... "Seven years ago I became enthusiastic about Bitcoin, Cryptocurrencies and especially charting. I fell in love with the charts but besides that I’m still super excited about what the cryptocurrencies will bring us in the near future. I’m honored to be a part of the revolution and I would like to take you with me on this journey. Within this expanding crypto universe there is still so much to learn and I want to share this with everyone that is interested in (trading) cryptocurrencies".
She says she loves Lisk and it is one of her one of her favorite cryptos. Analysing the Binance chart in the video she says that although it not a very positive chart currently, she is still very positive for Lisk. She goes on to say that the next 10 to 14 days will be crucial to see if it LSK tests the bottom of its current chart.
I took the liberty of cropping her current video to allow you get straight to the Lisk TA. You can view it HERE. See what you think and don't forget to give the Youtube channel of the original poster a thumbs up if you find it of value.

That's it for the recap of the weeks highlights. I hope it brought you up to speed with all the weeks good news.
These highlight posts also go out daily on the….
LISK Highlights exclusive Telegram group
LISK Highlights Twitter
The highlights are also included in my weekly roundup on the LISK Highlights Medium account and the Bitcoin talk forum's LISK thread, so keep an eye out for them on these outlets also.

Keep the faith Liskers! 👍

Data from the top 20 fastest growing communities in crypto over the last month

Branding and donation fund for exchange listings

I think it's in our collective interest to donate some VRC to get this gem listed on Binance. I believe more and more volume will come from Binance as Bittrex isn't accepting new registrations.
The technology underlying this coin is innovative and the roadmap for the coin highlights the vision of the developers. If all markets were rational and concerned only about technological underpinnings, we would by no means be only a $30 million market cap coin. In other words, name recognition and branding matters and it matters a lot. Think about bitcoin, its issues with network congestion, political infighting, and forks. Yet it is the cryptocurrency that people will recognize and invest in.
TLDR; A coin's name recognition and branding matters in the short AND long term, despite its technology. Price does not necessarily follow technology today though there is (probably) a correlation.

Why You Should Buy ONT and Not Sell Ever!!!!!!

NEO is #9 cryptocurrency with a market cap of $4.4 Billion with a MAX Supply ever being created in its entire existence is 100,00,000 NEO and only Circulating supply of 65,000,000. just 1 year again March 24, 2017 NEO was trading at 16 CENT!!!!! It’s all time high in price was $190 briefly. As of today NEO is worth $68.73 so if you invested $1,000 1 year ago you would have $429,000 TODAY!!! Wonder what more money and more coins would be in a year from now or 2,3,4,5 and beyond years 🤔🤯!!! This is why I put all my money on Ontology because if we missed the ride on NEO then ONTOLOGY is our next space ride to the moon!!! (BTW we still haven’t missed the ride with NEO) Ontology did not have a ICO because they sold out to private investors in which these investors bought in at $5. Ontology came out on Binance March 8, 2018. For every NEO holder got free .01 Ontology coins ONT which they released there coins prices bought and sold as high as $8.32 in the first day that’s a lot of free coins and money they gave to the community of NEO Holders and it is still trading high at $1.45 (we’ll actually very very low to its TRUE VALUE!!! NEO And ONTology are together as partners that will create on blockchain technology a smart ecosystem and trust, Identity, Data, Dapps, where these 2 projects are platforms run by the community of coin holders. And in time we will decide how much GAS is required to have to pay from Developers all over the world to add there coins on there platforms as of now NEO has 36 ICO/COINS on there platform with many many many more to come and while yes Ethereum has thousands of coins on there platform we can honestly say a lot of those are coins that will not exists in a couple of years and many many scams, pumps and dumps, and projects that never really take off for a variety of reason) plus in order to write code on there platform you will need to learn a whole new computer language where as with NEO you can use C++ and JAVA and many others and many more to come. Although I believe it cost 2,500 GAS to build on NEO which is very expensive but brings the real projects with real visions and teams and experience. (Who would want to pay that much for a pump and dump or scam just a thought) Also every NEO NeP-5 token that is on the Platform has strict restrictions to participate in there ICO with KYC “Know Your Customer” where they need to verify your identity very securely to prevent frauds and 100% secures your Digital assets you own. NEO is similar to Ethereum where there will be coins running on there platforms but that’s where the similarities end. First NEO is a non-profit community-based blockchain project. NEO is capable of 10,000 transactions per second versus Ethereum which is capable of 15 transactions per second. Ethereum uses Proof of Work so computers are mining the coins showing proof of work where in NEO it is Proof of Stake (Just holding NEO Generates GAS a duel coin they provide which is used to pay to run Dapps on there platform and used for very small transaction fees plus you are able to purchase any of there ICO with NEO coins or GAS. As of today GAS is valued at $22.09 with a max supply of 100million and will run out in 22years. Meaning no more GAS EVER created. GAS all time high price in January 2018 was around $79.76!!! The beauty of this system is with the more holdings of NEO coins it generates you GAS that you are able to collect every 5 minutes. Then with GAS you can use it on the open market buy and sell crypto and even better buy more NEO to generate even more GAS until it all runs out. It built like this so you don’t have to sell out of your position on NEO for purchases. For example and this is coming from NEO Founder and I am paraphrasing “So imagine you own Apple stocks and you want to buy a iphone then in order to buy the product you need to sell out of your shares with Apple those losing value in your investment. where in NEO being a coin holder you are not required to sell out and will be generating GAS and by the way GAS is #64 coin on coinmarketcap is a market cap share of $220+million!! NEO is also Quantum computer proof and where in the future once’s Quantum Computer are being used other coins and platforms will have serious issues, the first and only coin of its kind that is Quantum proof. NEO is also unforkable meaning there can’t be another coin to take over NEO community or a another coin created from NEO. NEO is also hosting their 1st NEO Dev Competition where they are the host and Microsoft yes bill gates Microsoft is the Co-organizer In a completion will the great developers of the world compete for there ideas and projects powered by blockchain technology NEO and ONTology!!! We have here developers writing white papers presenting code and ideas of building a smart economy. Get this the judge panel are Da Hongfei NEO Founder as well as Erik Zhang NEO Founder & Core Developer, next we have Jun Li who came from Onchain and ONT Founder also side note Onchain is a separate company with Chinese government support and CEO of Onchain is Da Hongfei that same Da who is NEO Founder. So Jun Li ONT Founder came from Onchain and with him over 60 engineers and many other well established professionals on a massive team with 5 white papers out and more to come. They are part of same Team to be side by side in the future of crypto currency and blockchain technology. ONTology will be more involved with identity, trust, data Dapps onto there platform and have 12 partnership announcements that will be on there platform where you see Onchain helps companies and people build blockchain technology itself and ONTology will do that as well. Plus soon they will also announce there duel coin system where as with NEO you will instead generate ONG and that hasn’t even came out yet wonder what the prices of ONG will be? ONTology provides coins into there supply by having air drops and rewarding exchanges for adding them to their exchange and in return have trading competitions for holders and traders!! Getting back to ONT prices as of now it is at #45 coin ranking on coinmarketcap with a market cap of $351,727,570 and counting and only came out March 8,2018 and as of now trading at $1.46 with only 1Billion total supply ever in circulation and as of now only 241,236,451 In there circulating supply. This project is easily going to have a $1 Billion market cap which should put the price at around $5. Getting in on ONTology now is like getting in on NEO when it was around $14 so this is the next space ship to ride. They will bring out massive partnerships and NEO Onchain and ONTology are together the future of cryptocurrency!!! By 2020 NEO will be the world #1 crypto currency and ONTology will be right on top as well bringing along with the ride GAS & ONG!!! By the way Say NEO will be #1 coin in the world is coming straight from the genius and NEO Founder Da Hongfei!!! Knowing all this and it’s beautiful structures and way of doing things where do you think the best of the best developers would rather have there projects on, many of them are already turning to NEO platform and we can only imagine what ONT will bring as well working together next to NEO!!! Where do you think mass adopting will happen first in the United States or China, well if I was a betting man and I am my bet is on China!!!! NEO is backed by the Chinese government and will be the first to bring mass adopting to the most populated country in the world by far!!! We are early adopters in the crypto world and projects like NEO and ONT will bring us to financial freedom!!!! Onchain ranks among KPMG’s Top 50 Fintech Companies I’m China for 2016-2017 and soon to be 2018 and beyond. Onchain is the father that gave birth to NEO and ONTology, they are a community from the same tree of knowledge that are friends creating a massive massive project to use the power beautiful tech of Blockchain Technology!! Make no mistake about it crypto currency are Digital ASSESTS that are finite and will only appreciate in value over time!!! We are cutting out our financial institutions, banks, government, corporations and putting the power back in the people where it belongs. All over the world people will be connected with out borders in a permission-less system to control there own assets and use a global currency that build wealth to all no matter of where you were born, no matter your race religion or creed, as a citizen of planet earth we will live a decentralized way of living free from oppression, uniting the world!!!! I have so much more knowledge and information on a lot of projects and will continue to share and keep everyone updated on my favorite coins especially NEO & ONT, I’m not asking for any handouts but if you are able to donate any bitcoin I promise to use it to further expand on sharing knowledge and wisdom with the time and energy I put in everyday in crypto world. Please feel free to donate to my bitcoin address anything helps where in return we can all make serious wealth and I will dedicate my time and energy to understanding the market reading TA charts and graphs and let you know of when is the right time to buy and when is the right time to sell. Also I will only be providing buying opportunities to the best of the best projects that are connected, established and doing the right thing!!! If you lose money then I will be losing money, what I believe in is what I invest in. Thank you for reading my opinions and thoughts and many many more wise word to come stated turned and we are going to the Moon and beyond!!!!!😎
